Efnisskrá tónleika Umbru samanstendur af fornri tónlist og nýrri, þjóðlögum sem tilheyra eyjum og frumflutningi á nýju verki eftir Arnheiði Maríu Árnadóttur sem hún byggir á fornum efniviði. Þær Alexandra Kjeld kontrabassaleikari, Arngerður María Árnadóttir hörpuleikari, Guðbjörg Hlín Guðmundsdóttir fiðluleikari og Lilja Dögg Gunnardóttir mezzósópransöngkona skipa Umbru. Umbra leggur áherslu á að skapa eigin útsetningar á fornu tónefni og vinna markvisst með þann hljóðheim sem hlýst af samsetningu upprunahljóðfæra og samsöngs. Umbra hlaut Íslensku tónlistarverðlaunin 2018 fyrir hljómplötuna Sólhvörf. Umbra Ensemble was formed by female musicians bound together by a passion for ancient and new music. The ensemble’s repertoire features sacred and secular medieval tunes from Iceland and continental Europe, as well as traditional songs, typically performed to the ensemble’s original arrangements. The group’s second album, Solstitium, won Record of the Year at the 2018 Icelandic Music Awards.
